AIRTO to give evidence to House of Commons Exiting the EU Select Committee inquiry: The progress of the UK’s negotiations on EU withdrawal

AIRTO has been invited to give oral evidence to the House of Commons Exiting the EU Select Committee inquiry on the progress of the UK’s negotiations on EU withdrawal. AIRTO’s President, Professor Richard Brook OBE FREng, will appear before the Committee on Wednesday 16 May at 09.15,  alongside representatives from the Campaign for Science and Engineering (CaSE), the Russell Group and the Wellcome Trust.

The Committee will be using this week’s public evidence session to explore impact of EU withdrawal on the UK’s higher education, research and science. Ensuring that the UK’s withdrawal from the EU progresses well is essential to minimising the impact of Brexit on the UK’s science and innovation activities. This topic is currently a high priority for our sector, and as such AIRTO gave evidence to Commons Science and Technology Committee’s Brexit Summit in February 2018. You can watch Richard’s evidence to the Committee after the session is over at Parliament TV.
