Maryam serves as the Administrator of AIRTO (the Association of Innovation, Research and Technology Organisations), the body representing the UK’s Innovation, Research and Technology sector, fulfilling this role since July 2024 at the Net Zero Technology Centre.

Maryam has an events management background. She is a graduate of the Robert Gordon University, gaining a first class honour’s degree. During her undergraduate career, she led sponsorship, fundraising and financial management roles, delivering a proven track record of successful and engaging events. She previously completed an internship in the underwater sector as a Marketing and Event Coordinator for Aberdeen-based subsea company, HonuWorx, which influenced her great interest in the net-zero sector.

Maryam is a member of the Association for Project Management (APM), and is undertaking a Masters degree in Project Management from the Robert Gordon University to kick-start her next ambition of becoming a Chartered Project Professional (ChPP).
