Maryam serves as the Policy and Member Relations Advisor of AIRTO (the Association of Innovation, Research and Technology Organisations), the body representing the UK’s Innovation, Research and Technology sector, fulfilling this role since January 2026. She originally joined AIRTO as an Administrator in July 2024.

Maryam holds an MSc in Project Management from Robert Gordon University, providing her with a strong foundation in organisational strategy, governance and delivery. Her postgraduate studies have strengthened her analytical, leadership and project coordination capabilities, equipping her to support complex policy and member‑focused initiatives. Alongside her academic achievements, she has experience in events management and stakeholder engagement, contributing to her well-rounded professional skill set.

Her early career includes experience within the technology and innovation landscape, where she contributed to marketing and coordination activities. This exposure introduced her to emerging technologies and sustainability-focused work, shaping her ongoing interest in the net‑zero and innovation sectors.
