Erika joined Connected Places Catapult from the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) in March 2024 as Chief Executive Officer. She has held positions at the London Development Agency, Competition and Markets Authority and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). While at DCMS she led the delivery of the AI Safety Summit in 2023, the world’s first event bringing together international governments, leading AI companies and experts in cutting edge AI research. Erika has a strong focus on using innovation to drive regional economic development.
