Dr Victoria Moody

Victoria brings a wealth of experience and a strategic understanding of the UK’s research and innovation, and public sector landscape.

Victoria is Director of Higher Education and Research at Jisc (the UK’s National Research and Education Network for the further education, higher education and research sectors). She leads the development of Jisc’s higher education and research sector strategic delivery within Jisc with stakeholders such as funders, research leaders from across the domain and research organisations. She represents Jisc’s research and innovation activity in the UK and overseas, proactively engaging and influencing funders, policy makers and other stakeholders in a way that furthers the interests of Jisc’s members and customers.

Focused on ensuring data, digital and technology approaches support and inform a diverse, inclusive, collaborative and world-class higher education and research and innovation sector Victoria’s role focuses on sustainable digital, data and technology for research and innovation including collaborative digital research infrastructure and future-scoping, addressing technical legacy and supporting the implementation of the recommendations in the independent review of research bureaucracy.

Early in her career Victoria developed technical expertise as a Co-I on a national digital infrastructure preceded by experience in government data infrastructure development, as well as research assessment and impact management, public and voluntary sector strategy and policy development in the local and central government sectors, and national information access and protection rights development and implementation.
