Dan is the Cyber Security Working Group Chair for AIRTO.

He began his career at BT Group where he spent 19 years in their global services division working in a number of roles mainly on new product development and innovation projects.

In 2022, Dan joined Jisc where he is responsible for many of Jisc’s research customers. He works with UK research and innovation institutions to provide network and cyber security services to help them operate and keep safe from cyber-attacks.

He graduated from Sheffield Hallam University in 2001 and joined BT’s management graduate scheme.

Dan lives in Sheffield with his wife, Sarah, and they have 2 young children.
