Dr Caroline Pritchard is Director of Key Accounts & Government Relations within the National Laboratories [NL] activities at LGC Limited.
She leads on government engagement for LGC’s national laboratory roles of the National Measurement Laboratory (NML), Government Chemist (GC) and MHRA Official Medicines Control Laboratory for chemical testing. She actively represents these national roles with policy makers, healthcare leaders, funders and other stakeholders within the UK and across the wider European measurement community to strategically position delivery and impact of these roles for relevant government priorities.
Sitting across the public and private sector, Caroline brings a unique perspective on the wider research, development and innovation ecosystem. Her work brings together parties from across the diversity of the landscape to address common chemical and biological measurement science {metrology] challenges locally, nationally and internationally, for wider UK benefit.
With a background in chemistry and a scientific research focus on protein metrology to support clinical and food applications, Caroline has worked at LGC within its NL business since 2005 in a variety of roles. She has a wealth of experience in communications, stakeholder engagement, programme evaluation and impact assessment, as well as strategy and policy development. She holds a MChem from the University of Oxford and completed her PhD at the University of Leeds.
