NPL has launched a new NPL led Analysis for Innovators competition in partnership with Innovate UK. This new round welcomes applications from innovative SMEs for projects to be delivered by NPL’s world-leading measurement scientists. The Expression of Interest stage is open until 15th September.
The new competition builds on the success of previous rounds, which have so far funded more than 540 projects and have supported UK companies to solve an analysis or measurement problem. Since 2017, the programme has helped UK companies to:
- Improve reliability of products, services and processes
- Improve performance of existing products
- Improve manufacturing output
- Reduce rejection rates and costs
- Demonstrate the meeting of standards and specifications
- Access new markets
The programme has a proven track record of enabling companies to implement business improvements to benefit their productivity, growth and competitiveness. Participant feedback has shown that 87% of companies believe their commercial opportunity has greatly or moderately increased as a result of their project.
