AWE’s Jenny Boxwell and Dario Castiglione have been elected to key positions by the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) membership.
Jenny was elected as a Trustee of the RSC whilst Dario has joined the Professional Standards Board (PSB). Both will play an important role in the governance of the RSC. More than 100 chemical scientists made the final election shortlists.
Jenny, a senior project manager at AWE, who has served previously on the RSC’s Admissions Committee and has just concluded her term as Vice-Chair of the PSB, said:” This is a great honour and I am very much looking forward to continuing to supporting the hugely important work of the Royal Society of Chemistry as a Trustee.”
Dario, a senior leader at AWE is also an external assessor for the RSC. He said: “I’m delighted to have this opportunity to help shape the values that guide our profession because the strategy and standards we set today will directly impact chemistry in the future.”
