Double win for Jisc security team

It was a proud night for AIRTO member Jisc at the Computing Security Excellence Awards, winning, not one, but two prestigious industry awards.

The security operations team was named security team of the year while director of security David Batho picked up the accolade of CISO of the year.. Both awards celebrate their belief in the power of making knowledge available to all so the sector stays resilient in the face of evolving cyberattacks.

The 38-strong security operations team dedicates itself to sharing knowledge, skills, and intelligence across the education and research sectors. It works with a cyber security community of more than 2,500 members of security experts, delivering free training, hosting threat intelligence briefings, and, crucially, for alerting security professionals in colleges and universities as soon as we are aware of a new threat.
