AIRTO is pleased to confirm new member appointment from CIEL to its Board

AIRTO is pleased to confirm with immediate effect that Lyndsay Chapman, CEO of CIEL (Centre for Innovation Excellence in Livestock) has been appointed to the Board as a Member Director of AIRTO. Commenting on this appointment, Andrew Jamieson, Chair of AIRTO, said:

We are delighted that Lyndsay is joining the Board, bringing with her a tremendous range of experience in the food and agri-tech sectors, which will be invaluable for our Governance, the learning of good practice across the AIRTO membership and for the advancement of food and agri-tech solutions for climate change.”

Lyndsay is Chief Executive of CIEL – the UK’s livestock Innovation Centre.  CIEL is an independent business, with support through InnovateUK, with a vision to be the front door to research and innovation across the livestock food sector.  Lyndsay is responsible for leading the team and business plan at CIEL and building valuable collaborations with industry and academia.  She works in partnership with colleagues across the family of UK Agri-Tech Centres, who are collectively driving the efficiency, profitability and sustainability of the agrifood industry.  Lyndsay is an enthusiast and champion for the promotion of British food, farming and the wider environment.  The experience Lyndsay brings to her role stems from a 25-year career within the UK food industry, including senior roles at Muller and Dairy Crest.
