SATRA Technology Centre is an international membership organisation, serving a number of consumer product industries including footwear, apparel, safety products, furniture, floor coverings, homeware and fabric care. SATRA is the largest research and technology organisation in the world for the footwear and leather goods industries.

SATRA is the leading UK Notified Body with test facilities for Certification and Testing of PPE for Clothing, Footwear and Safety Products. It is also a notified body for the EU Toy and Child Safety Directives, Medical Directives, and Construction Products Directives. SATRA has a full scale flammability chamber and a comprehensive laundering and dry cleaning facility and a state-of-the-art furniture and bedding test facility. It also operates SATRA Quality Assurance Ltd for quality, environmental and social accountability certification.
