The University of Greenwich is a large university with three attractive campuses in London and Medway, Kent. We combine strong regional, national and international links with excellence in applied research and a mission for access over more than a century. The University has nearly 29,000 students, one in five of them postgraduates. In particular, the University has strengths in computational modelling and mathematics, food sciences, agriculture, advanced manufacturing and engineering, medical devices and pharmaceutical sciences.
The University has a track record in stimulating business innovation and growth and commercialisation activity in the SME sector, providing business support, consultancy, a strong KTP programme and a sustained and vibrant network of support for start-up firms. We jointly operate the BIC-accredited Medway Innovation Centre, which provides hosting, training, coaching and mentoring services to local businesses. We are a member of the European Business Network and a partner in the SE England Enterprise Europe Network Consortium, offering free business services to regional SMEs and university researchers: guidance and advice on a range of topics and a facilitated process for technical/commercial partnership formation with other companies/organisations throughout Europe and beyond. Our Analytical Services Laboratory (ASL) offers the business community managed access to the University’s scientific resources with analytical services accredited to ISO 17025.
